Dominic EvergreenLinocutting is a relief printing process, It developed at the end of the sailing ship era when sail cloth was combined with linseed oil from which lino gets its name. The lino block must be cut in a mirror image of the final design. The cut away areas appearing as white, uninked areas. A linocut uses similar techniques and tools to a woodcut. These prints are printed in oil based ink, they are hand pressed and are in a limited edition of 75 unless otherwise stated.
